What's New
Stay up to date with the latest features, improvements, and updates in NotiCord.
November 20, 2025 - Notification Troubleshooting
✨ New Features
-
Notification History - View the last 7 days of notification attempts with success/failure status. Filter by rule to debug issues.
-
Permission Warnings - Notification rules now show "Missing Permissions" badges when the bot can't post to Discord channels, with links to fix the issue.
🚀 Improvements
-
Better Notification Rule Status - Each notification rule shows when its last notification was sent and whether it succeeded or failed.
-
Clickable Links - Database and channel names in notification rules now link directly to Notion and Discord.
November 13, 2025 - Custom Commands & Better Confirmations
✨ New Features
-
Custom Task Creation Command Names - Customize the slash command for creating tasks in each database. Use
/bug,/feature,/task-report, or any name you want instead of/create-task. Other commands (/my-tasks,/find,/help) stay the same. -
Customizable Task Creation Confirmations - Control what appears in the confirmation message after creating a task from Discord. Choose which fields to display (action message, title, task content, or any property) and which quick action buttons to show. Want no confirmation at all? Just unselect everything!
🚀 Improvements
-
Simpler Command Names - All commands are now top-level instead of
/notionsubcommands. Use/create-task,/my-tasks,/find,/help, and/link-accountdirectly. Commands are easier to discover and faster to type. Old/notioncommand will be automatically removed when the bot updates. -
Hide Action Message and Title - Exclude the action message ("Someone created...") and title from notification cards. Great for content-only notifications.
-
Richer Content - Notion content now renders properly in Discord with headings, lists, code blocks, quotes, and user mentions. Content limit increased from 200 to 2000 characters.
-
Better Channel Picker - Channel dropdowns now show categories (e.g., "SUPPORT / #help-desk") and warn about missing permissions.
🎨 UI/UX Improvements
-
Better Dropdown Visibility - MultiSelect dropdowns in task database and notification rule pages now have thicker borders and stronger shadows.
-
Property Highlighting - Status properties now show a "Recommended" tag in task database configuration.
-
Cleaner Property Lists - Removed redundant type labels from property dropdowns since emojis already show property types.
🐛 Bug Fixes
- Account Access - Fixed issue where non-owner users couldn't create their own subscription if linked to someone else's workspace.
November 5, 2025 - Quality of Life Updates
🚀 Improvements
- Better Home Page - Now shows your Discord server and Notion workspace info at a glance
- Helpful Hints - Added tips about notification delays and what to do when task databases are missing
- Simpler Task Setup - Cleaned up the config UI by removing property types that Discord doesn't support anyway
- Nicer Looking Cards - Fixed the wonky alignment in notification cards so everything lines up properly
🐛 Bug Fixes
- New Task Messages - Fixed the annoying bug where new tasks showed up as "updated" instead of "created"
- Smarter Buttons - "Assign to me" button only shows up now if you've actually mapped an assignee property
- Clearer Onboarding - Fixed the confusing wording that mixed up "tasks" and "task databases" in the quick start guide
October 28, 2025 - Better Notifications & Rules
🚀 Improvements
- Dedicated Rule Editor - Creating and editing notification rules now happens on its own page instead of a cramped modal
- Hide Action Buttons - You can now turn off quick action buttons per rule (useful for announcement-only channels)
- Content First - Notification cards now show page content before properties, making them easier to scan
🐛 Bug Fixes
- Status Filters Work - Fixed rules not filtering by specific status values
- Assign Button Shows - "Assign to me" option now appears when you've mapped an assignee property
- No More Flicker - Rule editor page loads smoothly without UI jumping around
- Readable Updates - Update notifications now show actual property names instead of cryptic IDs
- Notification Errors Fixed - Notifications no longer fail when Notion page content is restricted or archived
October 21, 2025 - Stability & UX Improvements
🚀 Improvements
- Discord Bot Verification - NotiCord is now officially verified by Discord
- Rich Text Support - You can now add rich text and page content (up to 2000 chars) when creating tasks from Discord
🐛 Bug Fixes
- Account Re-Linking - Fixed bug preventing users from re-linking after unlinking their account
- Link Validation - Now prevents linking the same Notion user to multiple Discord accounts in one workspace
- Docs Links - Fixed broken links across documentation pages
