Members

Unlimited Discord server users on every plan. NotiCord subscription members are people who can access your NotiCord subscription.

Add someone as a member for subscription access. Link their Notion identity only when a feature needs to know which Notion person they are.

Notification-rule direct messages can target any approved member. They do not need a Notion identity link.

Owner identity: connecting a Notion workspace during setup links the owner's identity automatically. If it is missing, use Settings → Notion Identity Link.

Add or approve a member

Add member dialog with Discord member and Notion email invite choices, a Discord member picker, and Member access selected — Choose direct Discord access or a Notion email invite.

Add a Discord memberSelect one or more people from the connected server and choose Member or Admin. Access starts immediately; this path sends no email.

Approve a requestA person starts with /link-account or Join as member. The owner receives an email, then an owner or admin chooses the role and can approve with or without the suggested Notion identity.

Invite a Notion userChoose Notion email invite, a Notion person with an available email address, and a role. The invitee signs in with Discord from the email link and arrives with that identity linked.

Add member lets you select several Discord people and give them the same Member or Admin access. Search by username or nickname; selections stay when you search for someone else. Each search returns up to 10 matches. The selected people must fit the available subscription member slots, including slots reserved by pending email invitations. If an addition fails, people already added keep access; retry the remaining selections after resolving the error.

Discord search keeps existing members and pending requests visible with their status. Review pending requests in Needs attention; manage existing people in the member list.

Link an existing member later

Open Members and find someone marked No Notion identity.
Choose Link identity.
Select the matching Notion user and confirm.

Member access stays active while you add or remove the identity link. Linking later does not send a new invite.

The identity picker shows each person's connected Notion workspace. Choose the person in the workspace your workflows use. Approval, identity linking, and email invitations keep that connection, even when your subscription has several Notion workspaces.

If a Notion guest is missing

Notion does not include guests in its regular user directory. NotiCord also lists people it has encountered in new activity on pages shared with its connection.

If the person is missing, @mention them in a new comment on a shared Notion page, then choose Missing someone? → Refresh list beside the identity selector. The helper links to an accessible example page when one is available. Wait for Notion to send the activity before refreshing again.

The person can stay a Notion guest. NotiCord reads the new activity rather than scanning your page tree or importing old comments. Select the matching identity and confirm the link; being discovered does not grant subscription access or approve a pending request.

Access roles

If you can access several NotiCord subscriptions, use Subscription above the user row in the desktop sidebar. On mobile, open Account and subscription menu from the top bar.

After your request is approved

If you asked to join a Discord server that already uses NotiCord, return to Setup. If the page still says Waiting for access after an owner or admin approves your request, select Check access. Then select Open on the subscription you joined. Its existing Notion and Discord connections stay with that subscription; you do not need to install the bot again.

If you also own a separate subscription, it stays separate. You can keep setting it up, or select that subscription and use Settings → Delete this subscription. Access to it stops immediately, and its data is deleted after 30 days. Your access to the subscription you joined remains, and NotiCord opens it after closure. Closing your only subscription signs you out without starting a new trial automatically.

Remove a link or remove access

Remove the identity linkMember access stays active, but identity-powered features stop. The shared Notion workspace remains connected. Owners and admins can unlink team members; admins cannot unlink the subscription owner.

Remove member accessThe member loses subscription access, their identity link, and comment mention DMs. Any notification rule or summary targeting that member pauses until an owner or admin chooses someone else. The Discord user who installed the shared Notion connection cannot be removed.

Comment mention DMs

When a linked member is explicitly mentioned in a new Notion comment, NotiCord can send them a Discord DM summary. It skips the comment author's own mention, counts toward monthly notification usage, and does not backfill older comments. Owners and admins manage the setting in Members; each member can manage their own setting from their member home.
