Viewer Sign-In Is Blocked
Use this guide if the embedded Discord viewer says your browser blocked the sign-in popup, if clicking Sign in with Discord does nothing, or if you are opening the embed from Notion Desktop.
If you are using Notion in a regular browser
- Click the popup-blocked icon in your browser's address bar.
- Allow popups for the NotiCord viewer page.
- Reload the Notion page.
- Return to the embed and click Try embedded sign-in again.
If your browser does not show a popup-blocked icon, open the site settings for the viewer page and allow popups there, then reload the Notion page and try again.
If you are using Notion Desktop
Notion Desktop is not supported for Discord embeds. Open the Notion page in a browser.
- Open the same Notion page in Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox.
- If Notion keeps reopening the desktop app, use Notion's Open in browser action or turn on Open Notion links in browser in Notion Desktop settings.
- Use the browser version of the Notion page when the embed needs Discord sign-in.
What not to rely on
Do not open a standalone viewer tab or sign in somewhere else to fix the desktop embed. It will not unlock the embed. Open the Notion page itself in a browser.
If it still fails in a regular browser
If popups are already allowed and the viewer still cannot load, check Discord channel permissions next.
