Commands Not Working

Use this page if commands do not appear in Discord or if they appear but fail when you run them.

Start with a refresh

Discord often needs 1 to 5 minutes to sync commands after the bot was added or after a create command or page list changed. Refresh Discord first.

Match the symptom

What you see	Most likely cause	What to do
A command is missing after a recent change	Discord has not synced yet	Refresh Discord, wait a minute or two, and try again
Every command is missing	The bot is no longer installed in this server	Re-add the bot from NotiCord
Discord says This interaction failed	Missing Discord permissions	Check Use Application Commands and Send Messages on the bot role
A page-list command says you need to link your account	The list uses is me	Link your Notion account through Members and Notion Identity
A panel button does nothing useful	The panel draft was not republished or the target is invalid	Reopen the panel, confirm the button target, and publish again
Discord says you cannot use the command	You are in the wrong server	Switch to the server where NotiCord is installed

Confirm all of these:

The Notion workspace is connected.
A create command exists in Create Notion Pages.
The underlying page or database is still shared with NotiCord.
The saved slash command slug matches what you expect.
If the missing entry is a message action, the create command uses Selected database or Selected parent page and has Create from selected messages turned on. Choose in Discord commands are slash-only.

Confirm all of these:

Check these:

The panel was saved and published again after the last edit.
The button still points to a live create command or page list.
Any create command launched from the panel uses a fixed source instead of Choose in Discord.
