Update Notion tasks directly from Discord - no switching tabs

What You Can Do

Task Database notifications have action buttons:

1. Change Status - Click any status button (To Do, In Progress, Done, etc.)
2. Assign to Me - Add yourself as assignee with one click

Result:

• Notion updates instantly
• New Discord message posted
• You get confirmation (only you see it)

Requirements

✅ Task Database (has Status property) ✅ Link your Notion account (required for buttons to work) ✅ Edit permissions in Notion

Not linked? → Buttons show error when clicked. Link now

How Status Buttons Work

Example flow:

1. New task notification appears with buttons: 📝 To Do ⚡ In Progress ✅ Done
2. You click ⚡ In Progress
3. Notion updates immediately
4. New message posts: "Status changed to In Progress"

Note: Each status change creates a new message (counts toward quota)

How "Assign to Me" Works

Click once → You're assigned

• Adds you to first People property
• You get @mentioned in new message
• Won't add you twice (idempotent)

Already assigned? → Shows "You're already assigned" (no duplicate)

Button Expiration

⏱️ Buttons expire after 10 minutes

Why? Security - prevents stale actions on old messages

Expired button clicked? → "Button expired, use newest notification"

Best practice: Use latest notification for actions

Task vs Page Databases

Check in dashboard: Notion Workspace → Task DBs have green "TASK DB" badge

Common Errors

"Link your account first" → Go to Settings → Click "Link Notion Account"

"You don't have permission" → Ask Notion admin to share database with you

"Button expired" → Use newest notification (buttons last 10 minutes)

Button does nothing? → May be expired or quota exceeded. Check usage
